Rethinking underutilized space

This room initially was designed as a “sprint space” but sat mostly idle despite its prime location. We broke the space down into four distinct zones and used a “safari tent” structure to create a sense of safety and enclosure.

Refining the Google Brand

As the Design Director on this project, I created the overall vision for the design, led designers and artists, interacted with the client and GC and oversaw the project budget and schedule. One key feature we wanted to create was a more mature, yet still playful expression of Google’s brand. We used muted colors, playful yet highly functional furniture, and when the client asked for a car in the space, we opted for a vintage yet incredibly fun truck we found and transported from the east coast.
